At this time of Thanksgiving, I thought we could all use a reminder of how much we have around us that we can be thankful for.
Let all things now living sing this song of thanksgiving:
God the creator, who fashioned and made us make us ever grateful,
…For the beauty of the earth, the beauty of the skies, and your love, which from our birth, lies over and around us.
…For the wonder of each hour of day and night, hill and vale, tree and flower, sun and moon and stars of light.
…For the joy of ear and eye, for the heart and mind’s delight, for the mystic harmony that link sense to sound and sight.
…For the joy of human love, brother, sister, parent, child, friends on earth and friends above.
…For each perfect gift you have given us, peace on earth and joy in heaven; and for yourself, the best divine gift so freely given.
Let all things now living sing a song of thanksgiving to God the Creator whose light goes before us, a pillar of fire shining forth in the night. God will guide us on to the end of our days till shadows have vanished and darkness is banished as we travel from light into light.
Let all things now living unite in thanksgiving and sing: Christ, our God, to thee we raise this our sacrifice of praise.
Amen
[If time permits, singing either “For the Beauty of the Earth” or “Let All Things Now Living” is recommended]
